Kotorino Secondhand Bookstore or Traveling Through Books Like a Migratory Bird
Bookstore_FukuokaWhy do migratory birds travel? I'd like to ask them.
There must be something instinctive there that has been built into our genes since the time of the dinosaurs.
There is a bird called the Arctic Tern that apparently travels from the Antarctic Circle to the Arctic Circle in one year. Wouldn't it be better for them to stay in a place where they are comfortable without having to travel so much? No, I think people also have an impulse that makes them go on a journey.
I imagined what kind of books I would like to read in a hotel, and chose three books: a photo book of migratory birds and bird nests, and a collection of essays about wild birds.
My ideal dream would be to sleep in a bird's nest while watching the birds.
You might laugh at this as a ridiculous story, but I think that if you open a book and immerse yourself in the world it tells, you will be able to travel to a fantasy world.
It would be a great night, falling asleep with a book in hand and dreaming of birds.
