CONCEPT

Captivated by the local atmosphere of "Comondo," where the vibrant spirit of Hakata Gion Yamakasa still lingers, and by the charm of Fukuoka's craftsmanship culture, we were inspired to open Common de -Hostel & Bar-.

At Common de -Hostel & Bar-, we strive to create a new culture with various events, projects, and products creating an energizing stay for our guests, all while embracing local tradition.

The room lanterns, lounge chairs, and front fixtures are all made from various products sourced from Fukuoka's periphery, such as Ukiha City and Yame City. And as a hostel & bar, we curate encounters among diverse individuals with items sourced from local breweries.

Our concept, "New Fukuoka, Hakata."

We promise that Common de -Hostel & Bar- will contribute to the rediscovery of Fukuoka.

HOTEL

Common de -Hostel & Bar- resides in the "Yamakasa Building," which has Yamakasa incorporated into its design. We decided to use this in the design of the hostel as well as create a more comfortable hostel experience.

The high ceiling, which was previously used as a photo studio, allows pleasant beams of light to reach the lounge/rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. Exposed pipes, a structural feature, evoke a unique atmosphere.

In the white, cube-like space, warm wooden furniture, sake brewery items, and traditional crafts are displayed, creating a blend of old and new.
